Celebrating Our Wins!
NEW is pleased to announce two big wins: we’ve joined a “community hub” with 5 other impactful organizations to give our clients access to even more amazing services AND we’ve received a Crowdfunding Award from Charity Village. Join us in celebrating our wins!
Family Services Toronto’s Community Hub (“The Hub” as we call it!) began as a dream that the COVID-19 pandemic turned into an unexpected reality. FST’s new four-storey office, which they moved into in 2018 after partnering with Tridel, had been designed to accommodate 50 to 55 staff. But once the pandemic shifted all our lives to a remote working model, the halls and offices remained empty. FST proposed the idea of approaching other service agencies to see if they were looking for space. It took a year, but after the licensing agreements, technology needs and furniture requirements were all settled—four Toronto agencies joined FST at 355 Church Street. Newcomer Women’s Services is proud to be one them, along with Bereaved Families of Ontario, Madison Community Services, and The Teresa Group. We can’t wait to start this new chapter as our organization continues to grow with “The Hub”! Learn more.
We’re also pleased to announce that we made the Top 5 Finalists for the Crowdfunding Award at the 1st ever CharityVillage Conference and Awards Event!
