Ending the Silence

In the summer of 2020, Mixed Company Theatre (MCT) and graduates of Sister2Sister, a leadership program for immigrant women from Newcomer Women’s Services, presented Ending the Silence. In the virtual performance, they explored patriarchy, power and emancipation. Forum theatre is a unique interactive experience for the audience. During the performance, they are asked to take mental notes at what points in the story they feel someone should say or do something differently. They are then invited to join the actors to role-play how they could address the issues being explored in the performance. This video captures some of the highlights from this two-hour performance:
