Girls Fashion Job Search Camp

Dates: August 15th - August 29th, 2016

Time: 10 am - 3 pm

Participants will:

  • Create their own fashion brand for social change
  • Explore the ways fashion can be used to stop racism, homophobia and gender violence
  • Create their own organic make up line and marketing plan
  • Learn how to write their own resume and practice interview skills
  • Win a $200 prize from a panel to start their own fashion line
  • Interview artists and designers who are challenging racism and sexism
  • Tour OCAD and meet OCAD profs and mentors!


  • All camp participants must be self-identify as girls and/or as trans
  • Identify as a newcomer or a racialized youth;
  • 18 to 29 years old at time of registration;
  • A resident of Ontario;
  • Eligible to work in Canada;

Each camp participant will receive a $200 honorarium. Application deadline: August 12, 2016
