Our Impact

40

Years serving Communities

Since we launched in 1983 we’ve been helping newcomers make Canada their new home.

Newcomer Women’s Services (or NEW for short) empowers newcomer women and their families in these three key areas.

  1. SETTLE IN

Settling in takes time. If you have questions about how to find accommodation, a doctor, a school—or a job, our settlement team can help. We work with immigrants from permanent residents, refugee claimants, naturalized Canadian Citizens, international students and temporary foreign workers. Call us at (647) 224-1371 or contact us at nsp@newcomerwomen.org (We’re also offering free webinars! Sign up now.)

  2. Learn English

Learn English in a supportive environment with other women. Our teachers provide top quality language instruction at four levels and free childcare is also provided. Call us at 437-423-2553 OR Email elp@newcomerwomen.org

  3. Work

Our employment team provides 1:1 career coaching, resume makeovers, mock interviews and employment webinars. To access our free service, which is open to all women, men and youth, you first have to register. We also offer free career coaching, workshops and paid pre-employment training to youths at risk. (Ages 15-29). Call us at 647-224-1371 or contact us at employment@newcomerwomen.org
